Terms of Service

Last updated: 11 August 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of JargsLedger (the “Service”), including our website, our Telegram bot integration, and any related tools we offer. By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the Service.

2. What JargsLedger is

JargsLedger lets you record sales by speaking or typing them in plain language, which our system interprets into structured ledger entries. It’s built for traders, market vendors, and small shop owners who want a record of what they sell without filling out forms or spreadsheets. The Service also offers revenue summaries, exportable statements, and optional integration with Telegram for logging sales outside the browser.

3. Your account

You need an account to use JargsLedger. You agree to provide accurate information when registering (including a working email address) and to keep your password confidential. You’re responsible for all activity that happens under your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us immediately at the address below.

You must be old enough, under the law that applies to you, to enter into a binding agreement in order to create an account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent, or to log sales data that isn’t genuinely yours to record;
  • Attempt to probe, scan, or breach the security of the Service, or access another trader’s account or data without authorization;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including sending an abnormal volume of requests in a way designed to circumvent rate limits;
  • Reverse-engineer or resell the Service without our written permission;
  • Upload or submit content (including voice recordings or text) that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes someone else’s rights.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

5. AI-interpreted sales data

JargsLedger uses an AI language model to turn what you say or type into structured sales entries (item, quantity, price, and so on), and a speech-to-text service to transcribe voice input. These systems are very capable but not infallible, and occasionally an entry may be misread, estimated, or need your confirmation. JargsLedger will flag entries it isn’t confident about and ask you to confirm or correct them, but you remain responsible for reviewing your ledger for accuracy, especially before relying on it for financial decisions, tax records, or sharing it with a third party such as a lender.

6. Third-party services we rely on

To provide the Service, JargsLedger sends limited data to a small number of specialist infrastructure providers on your behalf, for example to transcribe voice recordings into text, and to interpret sales text into structured entries. If you choose to link a Telegram chat, we also use Telegram’s Bot API to send and receive messages there. Details of what’s shared are in our Privacy Policy. These providers process data under their own terms, and we choose providers that are appropriate for the purpose, but we don’t control their infrastructure.

7. Your data, your ownership

You own the sales data you record in JargsLedger. We don’t sell it, and we don’t use it to train AI models. We process it solely to provide the Service to you: storing it, displaying it back to you, generating statements and summaries from it, and (as described above) sending relevant parts of it to the third-party providers that make voice and AI parsing possible.

8. Fees

JargsLedger is currently provided free of charge. If we introduce paid plans or usage limits in the future, we’ll tell you in advance and give you the chance to review the new terms before anything changes for your account.

9. Suspension & termination

You may stop using JargsLedger and ask us to delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, or that we reasonably believe pose a security risk to the Service or other users. Where practical, we’ll try to give you notice first.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t guarantee that AI-interpreted entries will always be accurate, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JargsLedger and its operators won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of profits, revenue, or data, even if we’ve been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can’t be limited under applicable law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction in which JargsLedger’s operating entity is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer-protection law gives you additional rights that can’t be waived.
